Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire a Facilities Technician IV is responsible for prioritizing and performing preventive and corrective maintenance to support safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. This role inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical, electrical, HVAC, power, fire/life safety, and facility systems, including test rooms, test cells, chillers, and building systems, while minimizing operational disruptions. The technician manages work orders and preventive maintenance through the CMMS, supports laboratory testing in accordance with ISO 17025 standards, monitors and operates the building management system, and coordinates with internal teams and external contractors as needed. This position may act as a lead, provide guidance to other technicians, respond to emergency and after‑hours needs, and ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and EH&S policies. This is an onsite role in Plymouth, MN, working Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Required Skills & Experience
3-5+ years of facilities, maintenance, or HVAC-related experience (or equivalent education/experience)
Associate degree in HVAC or related field (e.g., HVAC/R Certified Technician)
EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (EPA 608)
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across:
HVAC and chiller systems
Electrical, plumbing, and structural systems
Mechanical and facility equipment
Experience performing preventive maintenance using a CMMS (x5 preferred)
Ability to respond to emergencies and support after-hours facility needs
Ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification
Strong safety mindset with knowledge of EH&S regulations and procedures
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience supporting laboratory or testing environments (ISO 17025 exposure a plus)
Experience monitoring or operating Building Management Systems (BMS)
Prior leadership experience, including mentoring or acting as a lead technician
Experience coordinating and overseeing external contractors
Background supporting environmental audits and regulatory compliance
Experience implementing corrective and preventive maintenance improvements to reduce costs and improve reliability
