Job Description
Insight Global is seeking for a hands-on fabrication and model shop position supporting engineering and product development within a large HVAC manufacturing environment. The Engineering Model Maker will build and assemble parts, prototypes, and sheet metal components while working closely with engineering teams and a senior model maker for direction and mentorship. This is not a heavy CAD role-more aligned with machining, fabrication, and shop work.

Required Skills & Experience
Strong attendance and reliability (critical for this role)
Safety-first mindset working around machinery and fabrication tools
1–2 years of hands-on experience OR 2-year technical degree (machining, HVAC, construction, etc.)
Experience with shop tools / fabrication equipment
Ability to follow blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions
Willingness to learn and be coached by a senior model maker
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Welding and/or brazing experience
HVAC or refrigeration background
Sheet metal fabrication experience
Exposure to 3D printing or CAD/modeling
Experience with copper tube bending
Carpentry or construction experience (wood framing, etc.)
Strong communication skills with engineering teams
