Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Service Technician for our customer in Oakdale, Minnesota. This person will be responsible for the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installing new equipment or systems at customer locations, ensuring proper setup and functionality. Includes AMH systems and RFID security gates.

• Ability to plan and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Must be organized and detail oriented with a genuine commitment to exceed customer expectations.

• Identifying and resolving technical issues with new and/or existing equipment or systems.

• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on installed equipment.

• Communicating with customers, explaining installation procedures, and addressing their questions or concerns by building rapport with clients.

• Traveling to and from different job sites, requiring a valid driver's license.

• Maintaining records of installations, maintenance, and repairs and entering it into Tech Logic’s internal tracking system.

• Following safety protocols and procedures to protect oneself and others.

• Managing and maintaining tools, equipment, and materials.

• Contribute to project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate rental equipment delivery and pickup for installations.
• Coordinate return shipment of toolboxes and/or pallets needed for installation.
• Communicate with onsite electrical technician regarding all electrical needs and requirements of the installation.
• Perform maintenance training on the AMH and/or security gate equipment with the customer.
• Perform operations and software training on the AMH and/or security gate equipment to the customer.
• Test, final inspect, and document results assuring all AMH and/or security gate equipment meet Tech Logic standards.
• Monitor, track and update assigned customer support cases related to PM and service visits.
• Provide input for potential product and/or process updates, maintain installation/service manuals
• Must carry company provided laptop and cell phone to conduct necessary business when away from the office.
• When not traveling, support Customer Care with taking AMH or security gate cases to troubleshoot and resolve or work with Manufacturing Manager to build AMH components.

Required Skills & Experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Minimum three years of experience in manufacturing/engineering/service environment.
• Electrical and mechanical assembly experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents in a diverse industry.
• Once trained, you must be self-directed and work independently completing installation and PM tasks.
• Ability to/ability to learn to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings.
• Ability to think “outside the box” when presented with a challenge to achieve an on-the-spot resolution.
• Ability to work long hours when necessary to complete installations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft’s OS, email, Word and Excel
