Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Survey Technician to join a dynamic team out of Minnetonka, MN . This role will support Professional Surveyors in various aspects of surveying, including CAD production, survey research, boundary analysis, exhibit preparation, legal description drafting, and survey computations. The Survey Technician will process raw field data using Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D, perform QA/QC checks, and collaborate with field crews and office staff to ensure seamless project execution. Additionally, this position requires adherence to company values, policies, and best practices, promoting professionalism, trust, honesty, and leadership through sound judgment and integrity. Required Skills & Experience

An Associate Degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related area of study
Ability to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D for production activities.
Full use of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of exhibits and legal descriptions, plat preparation, and field crew prep.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Strong listening, writing, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in growth mode.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, support project coordination, and interact with other design services.
SIT or CST Certification or ability to become a Professional Surveyor
Experience drafting Wind, Solar, and Power Delivery projects
Coordinating activities with office personnel, including surveying technicians and engineering staff
