Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a highly experienced Sr. Network Engineer to support one of its fast-growing clients in the ISP industry, creating software solutions for telecommunications carriers and Internet Service Providers (ISPs). This individual will be responsible for building, implementing, and maintaining resilient service-provider network infrastructures, primarily focusing on routing, troubleshooting, and operational reliability across backbone and access networks. This role will deliver expert-level support, problem-solving, and designing scalable network solutions. This role is fully remote and will work closely with software development and internal teams to deploy innovative technologies and automation to improve network performance and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Masters or equivalent experience preferred)
8+ years of experience in ISP or carrier-grade network environments
Expertise with Linux network troubleshooting and BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, VLAN/VXLAN, multicast
Experience with advanced routing/switching platforms (Cisco ASR/CRS, Juniper MX/PTX, Nokia 7750, and optical transport networks)
Proficiency in network automation (Ansible, Puppet) and scripting (Python, Bash)
Strong understanding of network security, traffic engineering, and DDoS mitigation techniques
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and participate in on-call rotations

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Certifications strongly preferred (CCIE, JNCIE, MEF-CECP, Nokia NRS II)
