Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Dental Director to lead our nonprofit community dental clinic. The Dental Director will provide high-quality patient care while mentoring the dental team and guiding clinical operations. This position is ideal for a seasoned dentist with strong leadership skills, a heart for community service, and a passion for advancing oral health equity.

• Schedule: 4 clinical days + 1 administrative day per week
• Sign-On Bonus: $30,000
• Experience Required: Minimum 7–10 years of clinical dentistry

Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive patient care (crowns, bridges, dentures, restorations, extractions, endodontics, and pediatric care)
• Mentor and guide dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants in clinical excellence
• Lead quality assurance, treatment protocols, and patient-centered care initiatives
• Ensure compliance with clinic, state, and federal regulations
• Collaborate with organizational leadership on workforce development and community partnerships
• Allocate administrative day for oversight, case reviews, workflow improvements, and staff development
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic records

Required Skills & Experience

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
• Valid Minnesota dental license
• Minimum 7–10 years of clinical experience in comprehensive dentistry
• Expertise in general dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery, pediatrics, and endodontics
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability
• Strong diagnostic, treatment planning, and patient communication skills
• Compassionate, community-focused approach with a commitment to health equity
• Knowledge of compliance standards (OSHA, HIPAA, Board of Dentistry, state/federal regulations)
