Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Quality Engineering Specialist to support CMP processes in a semiconductor environment for one of our largest clients local to MN. This person will be bridging product development, manufacturing, and customer engagement. This role is pivotal during New Product Introduction (NPI) and post-launch optimization, ensuring quality is built in from the start and scaled for production. You’ll lead customer-facing investigations using tools like 8D and Pareto, manage change through statistical analysis (SPC, DOE, regression), and collaborate with suppliers to vet materials and drive continuous improvement. Post-launch, you’ll work closely with fab teams to enhance yield and reduce defects.
This role requires you to live in MN and go on-site 3 days per week.

Required Skills & Experience

-7+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, background in process integration engineering strongly preferred.
-Hands-on experience managing NPI and change control, including qualification of new materials, processes, and test methods using DOE and regression analysis.
-3+ years collaborating with suppliers and customers, writing technical specifications, driving continuous improvement, and navigating varying timelines across semiconductor and electronics sectors.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Direct experience in CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization) and fab operations; background in process integration engineering strongly preferred.
