Job Description

The Process Engineer II will play a key role in supporting process development and product commercialization across the organization's global plant network. Working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment, this individual will partner with R&D to define design specifications, develop test methods, and drive material selection while providing Design for Manufacturability input. Responsibilities include innovating and implementing new processes, tooling, and automation; overseeing prototype and initial production builds; authoring and reviewing validation protocols; and ensuring compliance with quality system requirements. The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions to deliver efficient product transfers into production. Preferred candidates will bring experience with extrusion processes, polymers, equipment development, DFSS tools, and regulated industry practices, along with demonstrated leadership in technical project execution. We can pay between $35 - $41/hr.

Required Skills & Experience

• BS in Engineering and 1-4 years of experience.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, conflict resolution experience, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and drive creative, innovative solutions for both processes and products.
• Strong cross-functional teamwork and collaboration
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Open to travel up to 10% of the time which may include vendor visits, supplier visits, or conferences.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience developing and characterizing various types of extruded processes such as free extrusion, over the core, coextrusion, over braid, reel to reel, multi-lumen, and bump extrusion.
• Experience working with polymers – particularly Pebax, Nylon, PEEK, Urethanes.
• Familiarity with how extrusion inputs can impact outputs.
• Demonstrated ability to develop equipment / fixtures from concept to prototype to production.
• Demonstrated use of DFSS tools (DOE, problem solving).
• Experience with mechanical design, automation and controls, and programming.
• Strong understanding of statistics and experience using statistical analysis software tools.
• Medical device or other regulated industry experience including an understanding of the quality system.
