The Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology is seeking a full-time EMG Technician to work with our neurologists to perform Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) and electromyography (EMG) tests for our patients per physician orders and MCN protocols.
Responsibilities:
Works collaboratively with multiple neurologists' styles, workflows and preferences.
Prepares patient for examination and explains procedure, helping the patient to be as comfortable as possible throughout all phases of the test.
Calculates, documents, and submits test results in an accurate and timely manner.
Enters information and charges into electronic health record.
Maintains exam rooms, testing equipment and supplies, ensuring preventive maintenance and calibration of testing equipment.
Performs miscellaneous departmental and clerical duties, as assigned.
Work schedule: Rotating 4x10 hour days within a Monday-Friday schedule. Requires regular travel to all MCN clinic sites as well as some outreach to locations such as: Aitkin, Buffalo, Glencoe, Hutchinson, Princeton, and Twin Cities area hospitals. Mileage reimbursement provided.

High school diploma (or GED) and training/experience in nerve conduction and electromyography required
In place of experience, individuals who possess knowledge/education of human anatomy (esp. muscles and nervous system) will be considered (for example: Physical Therapy Assistant training or Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology).
Must have experience with nerve conduction
Must have ability to calmly talk patients through electrodiagnostic studies that may cause them discomfort.
Must be a patient-centered individual who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail oriented and have exceptional judgement and independent problem solving skills.
Previous experience with electronic health record (Epic) is highly preferred
Any type of EMG or nerve related certifications
