Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a global Core Device Communication team. This individual will play a critical role in developing and evolving a shared software library that powers hearing aid communication and configuration across desktop, mobile, and web applications. Correctness, performance, scalability, and maintainable design are critical to success in this role.
As part of a globally distributed engineering organization, this engineer will partner closely with US-based teams and product development stakeholders to design, build, and maintain core communication technologies used across Starkey's hearing aid ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of professional software engineering experience developing shared, production-grade .NET class libraries or SDKs in C#.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to clearly express and understand complex technical concepts in a US-based engineering environment.
• Proven ability to drive architectural decisions and lead teams in evaluating complex technical trade-offs.
• Proven leadership experience, including interviewing, mentoring, and developing engineers.• Experience working effectively within globally distributed engineering organizations.
• Deep expertise in C# and modern .NET development.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) client development on Windows and Linux platforms.
• Experience building libraries that manage device connection and control through BLE using USB-attached radios and hardware APIs.
• Embedded BLE firmware development for central and peripheral devices.
• Experience with connection management, GATT implementation, and protocol-level communication.
• Experience developing performance-sensitive systems within resource-constrained environments.
