Job Description
The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain software solutions for our rebranding project, ensuring technical stability, operational readiness, and alignment with functional and non-functional requirements. This role combines hands-on coding with thought leadership, championing best practices and driving innovation in our Agile/DevOps environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop resilient, scalable software solutions for Prior Authorization web applications, Portals, and File Transfer systems, ensuring operational readiness.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing applications, addressing bugs and performance issues.
• Champion software engineering best practices, including Agile/DevOps methodologies, innovative solutioning, and adherence to coding standards.
• Research and assess the impact of rebranding on applications, licensing, certifications, and gateways, proposing mitigation strategies.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate within an Agile team, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay current with industry trends, continuously learning new technologies to enhance project outcomes.
Day-to-Day
• Development (50%): Write and optimize code using VB.Net, C#, and .NET Core 3.1+ for Portals and File Transfer applications, focusing on rebranding enhancements (e.g., UI updates, API integrations). Develop and test APIs using tools like Postman or Insomnia, leveraging Angular for front-end and Entity Framework for database interactions. Work with AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda) for cloud deployment.
• Maintenance & Support (20%): Debug and resolve issues in the Prior Authorization web application, ensuring stability and performance. Update MySQL and SQL Server databases with complex scripts as needed.
• Collaboration & Research (20%): Engage in Agile ceremonies, collaborate with designers and product owners on rebranding requirements, and research impacts on certifications or gateways. Pair-program or review code to maintain quality.
• Thought Leadership (10%): Propose innovative solutions, document technical designs, and share best practices (e.g., CI/CD improvements via Jenkins). Mentor junior developers and present findings to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience
Strong expertise in SQL databases (MySQL, SQL Server), including writing complex scripts.
• Proficiency with Angular, MVC, Entity Framework, and API testing tools (e.g., Insomnia, Postman, SoapUI).
• Working knowledge of cloud fundamentals, particularly AWS (EC2, Lambda).
• Experience with version control (GitHub) and development environments (Visual Studio).
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
7-8 years of .NET development experience, with deep expertise in .NET Core.
• Prior work on rebranding or UI/UX-focused projects for web applications.
• Experience with Prior Authorization or Utilization Management systems in healthcare.
• Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services beyond EC2 and Lambda (e.g., S3, RDS).
• Exposure to compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA) in software development.
• Mentorship or thought leadership experience in Agile/DevOps environments.
