Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with strong healthcare payer experience to design and support scalable, cloud‑native applications supporting mission‑critical payer systems.
Responsibilities
• Lead development of enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot and Spring Batch
• Design and support batch and event‑driven workflows for payer systems (care/case/disease management & population health)
• Contribute Python scripting and TypeScript development as needed (their rules engine tool is built on TypeScript)
• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot applications on OpenShift
• Implement messaging and streaming solutions using Kafka
• Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, and Agile delivery

Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of Java development experience in enterprise environments
• Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Experience with OpenShift / Kubernetes platforms
• Working knowledge of Python and TypeScript
• Healthcare payer experience (claims, enrollment, eligibility, billing, or related systems)
• Strong communication to excel in a highly-collaborative environment
• Cannot reside in CA, WA, IL, CO, CT, MD, UT, OR, MA, NY, & NJ
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Domain knowledge of care/case/disease management or population health
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Preference given to those living in MN, WI, IA, ND or SD
