Job Description
This role is responsible for programming, configuring, and commissioning Bosch BVMS video surveillance systems and integrated access control solutions across government, campus, and enterprise customer environments, primarily supporting clients throughout Minnesota. The programmer will configure cameras, recording profiles, retention settings, user permissions, alarms/events, and operator workstations; troubleshoot live system issues (camera outages, network/configuration problems, firmware, storage); and serve as a technical escalation point for technicians and project managers. The role works closely with customers to answer technical questions, support project bids when needed, document system configurations, and ensure systems are delivered in an operator ready state. While the position is primarily programming focused, occasional field or onsite support may be required (up to ~25% travel, typically less). PayRate- $30-45/hr

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience programming or commissioning security systems (CCTV and/or access control)
• Hands on Bosch BVMS Programming experience
• Strong understanding of IP video fundamentals (streams, bandwidth, codecs, camera configuration)
• Experience troubleshooting live production systems (camera outages, network/config issues, firmware, storage)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Background in low voltage security environments with customer facing responsibility
• Ability to act as a technical escalation point and know when to escalate further
• Experience with other VMS platforms such as Genetec, Hanwha Vision, Milestone, Avigilon, or ExacqVision
• Access control integration experience (Genetec, PCSC, LenelS2, C•CURE, etc.)
• Exposure to video analytics platforms (e.g., Cognyte / Verint)
• Government, campus, or enterprise scale deployments
• Intrusion or fire alarm system programming
• Field experience and/or PLT certification
