Job Description
Summary:
The main function of a mechanical technician is validating the service manual, service procedures, validating repair procedures so they can be performed how they are written, time and optimize the procedures, and take the car apart and put it back together . This is for all of GM service manuals, following a tracker of all of the different procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Perform on-vehicle validation of service procedures
• Identify errors and possible optimizations within service procedures
• Perform time studies of removal and installation procedures
• Document validations and time studies
• Document and communicate project status to leadership as required.
• Perform special assignments as requested

Required Skills & Experience
· HS Diploma - Associate's strongly preferred
· 2+ years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician
· Minimum of 4 active ASE Certifications
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Associate's degree in engineering technology or related field
· ASE Master certification
