Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support our next‑generation architecture initiative. This role will focus on defining, standardizing, and validating a common controls and hardware architecture that can be deployed across multiple platforms, independent of PLC manufacturer.
This is an office‑based engineering role responsible for developing standards, reference architectures, and test frameworks that will be used across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in motion control, drives, and advanced system integration, with hands‑on experience integrating PLCs with robotics.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to

Develop and define standardized controls and hardware architectures for next‑generation systems
Create and validate test architectures and reference designs applicable across multiple PLC platforms
Establish best practices and standards for system architecture, motion control, and drive integration
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support architecture development and adoption
Provide technical guidance on PLC, robot, servo drive, and VFD integration strategies

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience programming Siemens TIA portal
- Experience with servo drives and VFDs
- Experience integrating PLCs to Fanuc robots
