> Lead the design and implementation of autonomous material flow strategies utilizing AMRs, AGVs, and automated logistics technologies.
> Develop material delivery concepts that support manufacturing throughput, inventory management, and line-side replenishment requirements.
> Analyze production workflows, bottlenecks, and logistics constraints to optimize autonomous transportation solutions.
> Partner with manufacturing, industrial engineering, and operations teams to develop future-state material flow architectures.
Fleet Orchestration & Traffic Management:
> Configure, optimize, and support AMR fleet management systems.
> Develop fleet routing, traffic control, congestion avoidance, and prioritization strategies.
> Support implementation and integration of VDA5050 communication standards to enable multi-vendor fleet interoperability.
> Monitor system performance and drive improvements to fleet utilization, travel efficiency, and mission completion rates.
Exception Handling & Recovery Logic:
> Develop and validate exception handling workflows for autonomous transportation systems.
> Create recovery logic for traffic conflicts, blocked routes, unavailable destinations, low-battery conditions, and system faults.
> Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to AMR operational disruptions.
> Establish standard operating procedures for system recovery and autonomous fleet troubleshooting.
Vendor Integration & Technical Leadership:
> Serve as the primary technical interface between internal engineering teams and AMR solution providers.
> Support vendor selection, system architecture reviews, and solution validation activities.
> Lead integration efforts involving AMRs, warehouse management systems (WMS), manufacturing execution systems (MES), production equipment, and automation controls.
> Coordinate site acceptance testing, commissioning, startup, and production launch activities.
Continuous Improvement & Operations Support:
> Analyze operational fleet data to identify opportunities for performance improvements.
> Develop KPIs related to fleet utilization, uptime, delivery accuracy, throughput, and system reliability.
> Support expansion projects, new production areas, and future autonomous logistics initiatives.
> Drive continuous improvement efforts related to safety, productivity, scalability, and operational efficiency.
