Job Description
- Collaborate with Design team on engineering guidance for components and design set ups for modeling
- Design set ups include body attachments and part-to-part attachments
- Part design for appearance items: rib-to-wall ratio, tooling portion and undercuts
-Remote position: Located in Michigan (within 2 hours from Troy, MI preferred)
Required Skills & Experience
- Engineering degree: Mechanical Preferred
- 3-5 years experience in Design Engineering
- Injection molding tooling and plastic experience:
Door assembly, apron, rear side log, area behind the 3rd row seats and the plastic part on the side, Some interior parts, some consoles and instrument panels
- In Michigan (preferably within 2 hours of Troy)
Asian OEM experience: Toyota, SAIC, Hyundai, Nissan, Kia, Tata Motors, Suzuki, Mazda, BAIC Motor, Isuzu, Great Wall Motor, or Yamaha
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Honda OEM experience
- Nissan OEM experience
- Subaru OEM experience
- Bilingual in Japanese
