We are seeking a detail-oriented and security-conscious Configuration and Data Management (CM/DM) Specialist to join our defense programs team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining configuration control of technical documentation, product baselines, and deliverables across the system lifecycle, while ensuring compliance with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) standards and contractual requirements. This role supports both engineering and program management by controlling data, drawings, and software artifacts in secure environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain Configuration Management and Data Management plans in accordance with MIL-STD-973, MIL-HDBK-61A, EIA-649, and applicable customer requirements.
Manage product baselines and control configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and verification processes.
Process Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Variances (Deviations and Waivers), and ensure proper documentation and traceability.
Maintain control of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), export-controlled data, and classified documentation in coordination with Security and IT.
Coordinate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), prepare agendas, distribute minutes, and track action items and implementation of approved changes.
Manage the creation, review, approval, and submission of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items and Data Item Descriptions (DIDs).
Maintain accurate records and audit trails using configuration and data management tools (e.g., Windchill, SharePoint, PTC Integrity, or other CM/PLM systems).
Interface with internal engineering, quality, and program teams, as well as with customers and government representatives, to ensure compliance with data delivery and configuration requirements.
Support internal and external audits and participate in gate reviews and milestone events.

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Technical management or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered if applicable
37 years of experience in configuration/data management in the defense or aerospace industry.
Strong familiarity with MIL-STD-31000, MIL-STD-973, MIL-HDBK-61A, and applicable DoD data standards.
Experience managing CDRLs and DIDs per defense contracting requirements.
Communicate effectively in a variety of settings
Demonstrate an enthusiasm to engage with and support colleagues of all backgrounds
Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
