Job Description

The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that every manufactured component meets strict engineering and quality standards before it moves through or out of the production process. Working across multiple stages of the production life cycle, this individual will conduct thorough inspections using a variety of precision measurement tools, verify that parts conform to specifications, and partner closely with production and engineering teams to flag and address any defects or nonconformances. Attention to detail, consistency, and thorough documentation are essential in this environment, where the stakes of quality failures are significant. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and will actively contribute to quality and continuous improvement efforts across the facility.

Required Skills & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment with a focus on quality inspection
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications
• Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
• Solid understanding of basic shop math and tolerances
• Ability to document inspection findings and identify nonconforming parts
Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office or comparable platforms

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with advanced inspection equipment such as CMMs, vision systems, or hardness testers
• Exposure to ERP or quality tracking systems such as SAP or similar platforms
• Experience performing first article, in-process, or final inspections
Background supporting root cause analysis efforts
