Role Overview
As a Project Manager in AAA Life’s Transformation Office, you’ll support large-scale transformation initiatives by owning planning, budgeting, timeline management, risk management, and stakeholder communications across multiple workstreams.
The manager specifically called out that the portfolio can range across IT-related workstreams, and this role is responsible for ensuring governance, clarity, and momentum—not being the person directly owning implementation delivery.
Success hinges on proactive follow-through, high transparency, excellent reporting, and the ability to manage cross-functional alignment (including vendors) while keeping a customer-impact lens.
Day‑to‑Day Breakdown
35% – Transformation Planning, Budgeting & Governance (PM-owned)
• Build and maintain integrated plans across multiple workstreams (often data infrastructure-adjacent)
• Own project budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking/reporting
• Establish and maintain governance rhythms, decision logs, and milestone tracking
30% – Cross‑Functional Leadership & Facilitation
• Lead and facilitate cross-functional working sessions to drive clarity and accountability
• Drive action item follow-through and remove blockers through coordination (not direct implementation)
• Partner with vendors/third parties and internal leads to keep work aligned and moving
20% – Stakeholder Reporting, Transparency & Communication
• Serve as primary point of contact for project communications and status updates
• Produce executive-ready reporting (status, risks, budget, milestones, decisions)
• Navigate tough conversations with high transparency and professionalism
15% – Risk, Change & Dependency Management
• Identify and manage delivery risks and cross-team dependencies; escalate early with mitigation plans
Manage scope/schedule/resource changes using structured change management practices
Compensation: $130k to $140 Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Required Skills & Experience
Must‑Have Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in any field
• 3+ years of professional project management experience
• Proven ability to manage multiple, complex workstreams simultaneously (Transformation Office initiatives)
• Owns planning + budgeting (not implementation ownership): This PM is accountable for planning, budgeting, and governance, while delivery teams own implementation execution [
• Strong stakeholder management: comfortable working across many groups and driving alignment
• Transparency + tough conversations: Able to separate themselves from uncomfortable conversations and maintain clarity/accountability
• Strong reporting capability (clear executive updates, status, risks, and decisions)
• Strong risk management: identify, assess, mitigate, and communicate risks
• Budget ownership and financial tracking across projects
• Strong facilitation skills (meetings, alignment sessions, dependency/risk reviews)
• Experience coordinating with third parties / vendors
• Tool proficiency: Jira, Excel, and Monday.com
Customer mindset: consistently frames decisions around customer impact (business partners + members/policyholders)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Nice‑to‑Have
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification
• Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives
• Background in regulated industries such as insurance or financial services
Experience operating within a Transformation Office or PMO environment
