Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for a Business Analyst to join the team of one of their mid-level clients in the Insurance industry located in Livonia, MI. This person will be facilitating the business application development process between IT and the internal business partners, gathering requirements necessary to meet corporate goals. The primary focus of this role will be on small to medium projects and providing support other Business Analysts on larger projects.

This position is hybrid- 2 days a week on-site in Livonia, MI. This candidate needs to have a well-rounded skillset, must be a go getter, and has a great personality.

· Specific Responsibilities:

o Lead Business and Project teams in Story Mapping Sessions

o Create Persona's that bring focus and direction to the creation of story cards and other project artifacts.

o Work closely with Product Owner on business strategies and project priorities.

o Document requirements in story cards and organize story cards in backlog.

Balance the right amount of business and technical analysis necessary for the team to be successful in planning both the project and individual sprints.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field

· 5+ years of experience as IT Business Analyst

Experience with complex projects/systems

· Strong background working within Agile methodologies

· Strong experience working with stakeholders, gathering requirements, etc.

· Strong experience with Microsoft products

Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio

· Strong expertise with Jira

Creating user stories, etc.

Preferred:

· Background in the Insurance industry

· Background with SQL

Any hands on technical experience
