Job Description
A client in the Niles, MI area is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for a leading engineering consulting client supporting large-scale, high-growth digital infrastructure programs. This individual will play a key role in managing and delivering complex geotechnical projects across the country, partnering closely with national account teams and local engineering groups. The role blends hands-on technical work, program management, and client leadership, offering exposure to innovative tools, fast-paced project environments, and long-term growth into national leadership opportunities. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned geotechnical professional who thrives as a seller/doer and enjoys influencing both project outcomes and client experience at scale.
D2D:
- Manage and deliver large-scale geotechnical engineering projects
- Act as seller/doer: prepare proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports
- Lead geotechnical field explorations and oversee lab/field data evaluation
- Perform geotechnical analysis and develop engineering recommendations
- Review drawings and collaborate with construction teams for compliance
- Conduct site visits, observations, and construction inspections
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and resource allocation
- Lead client meetings, monthly syncs, and Annual Business Reviews
- Scout work to go after and scout proposals

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (ideally Civil - Geotechnical emphasis)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Valid & Clean driver’s license
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree with geotechnical emphasis
- Client-facing experience
