Job Description

Insight Global is in search of a mid level Mainframe Cobol Developer to work in a remote capacity for one of its clients in the insurance industry. This person will be responsible for various technical projects, Cobol development, as well as supporting technology modernization projects. We are looking for candidates that are critical thinkers, strong problem solvers and are willing to spearhead various technical projects. This is an agile environment and will be expected to work with multiple departments within the organization.

Compensation will be based on previous experience ranging from $45.00-$65.00 and benefits can be provided.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of previous experience in Mainframe development
- strong technical background with the following tools (Cobol, Z-connect, Jira/DevOps and Micro focus)
-Bachelor Degree in Computer Science of Software Engineering
- strong experience with SDLC, and DevOps tools
