Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a few substation planners in the Detroit, Michigan area. The Substation Planner will be traveling to and from the various substation locations. The planner will be working with several internal teams in field operations, engineering, and design to help them execute jobs and get the materials ordered that are needed for their projects. They will be working in tandem with the different substation teams within their local region. The planner will be helping to plan and schedule the maintenance and repairs for each substation as well as helping them to schedule the teams associated with each location.
% Breakdown:
60% in the office planning and scheduling materials and teams
40% in the field at substation locations
Compensation:
$38/hr to $40/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in scheduling major projects
- 3+ years of experience/knowledge of reading blueprints
- Experience in material planning – identifying required materials
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Associates degree in technology or engineering technology
- Substation background
- Work management system experience – maximo
