Job Description

The Electrical Engineer will lead and support engineering initiatives across DTE Energys natural gas infrastructure projects, including compressor stations and pipeline facilities. This role involves applying advanced engineering principles to develop, coordinate, and execute complex projects, with a focus on power distribution, instrumentation, and controls.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering Design & Analysis
Apply electrical engineering principles to design and support power distribution systems.
Conduct engineering studies and propose solutions or alternatives to technical challenges.
Develop and analyze models to support infrastructure improvement programs.
Project Leadership
Lead or play a key role in cross-functional project teams.
Process Improvement & Standards
Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Assist in the development and refinement of engineering standards and best practices.
Conduct studies and analyses to resolve engineering-related issues.
Stakeholder Communication
Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment and compliance

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology and a minimum of 5 years of job relevant experience
Power Distribution Design experience for 480V and less

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or job relevant discipline
Instrumentation and Controls design experience
This position is open to Detroit location
Proficiency in computer applications relevant for field
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Developed planning and continuous improvement skills
Strong time management, prioritization, and organization skills
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead cross-functional teams
