Job Description

The Process Engineer will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing engineering activities for cell and array production within joint ventures. This position focuses on developing standardized engineered solutions for assembly and test equipment, ensuring ergonomics, safety, and productivity. The role involves equipment installation, supplier assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives, while contributing to manufacturing strategy and cost feasibility. The Process Engineer will also support the development of battery assembly and test systems, procure cost-effective solutions, and implement best-in-class methods aligned with Ford Powertrain standards.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within automotive or battery production environments.
Hands-on experience with equipment installation in manufacturing plants.
Strong understanding of manufacturing process timing and Gantt chart development.
Ability to engineer manual workstations incorporating ergonomic and safety principles.
Knowledge of assembly methods, laser welding, and process transport systems.
Experience in supplier technical assessments and selection.
Proficiency in developing standardized work and integrating material handling equipment.
Strong analytical skills for cost estimation, feasibility studies, and benchmarking.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional projects.

Familiarity with Ford Motor Company standards and procedures
