Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Java Developer for a large OEM in Dearborn, MI. This group is part of the commercial side of business and works to support a range of customers who need vehicles to support their business endeavors.
Primary responsibilities include:
• 60% of work is maintenance
o Troubleshooting issues, upgrading frameworks
• Define, design, develop, and deploy services and applications in a micro service / cloud-based architecture.
o Migrating technologies/services (PCF to GCP)
o Upgrading services
o Coding new services
Standing up new APIs/Microservices
o Unit testing (team uses JUnit)
o Troubleshooting issues
• Ensure functional and non-functional quality and on-time delivery using agile principles.
• Paired development as needed, test driven development, and continuous delivery to release early and often.
• Collaborate and work closely together with a balanced team of developers.
• Bi-weekly sprint planning
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
• Mid-level software development/java development experience
• Java Development experience building microservices and cloud-based solutions using Springboot
• Experience working in cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform or Azure or Pivotal Cloud Foundry or AWS or similar)
• Strong understanding of databases
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Kotlin experience
• React experience
• GCP experience
o Cloudrun
• Understanding of API latencies, how to test APIs
