Job Description

A large Material Handling Company is looking for a Software Project Manager. This person will manage software project delivery of an automated material handling warehouse. They will be responsible for managing everything from budget to scope to timeline to resource and risk management. This person will interacting with the customer and communicating direction to their core delivery team. The delivery team will consist of PM’s, project engineers, controls, and software engineers. Typical delivery timelines range from 1-3 years. This role will require 30-50% travel as it is important for this person to be on site to ensure proper progress is being met on time and on budget. This person must be very driven, highly organized, a strong communicator and a great leader. Given that this person will be overseeing the software portion of the project, a strong understanding of software methodologies is a must and able to host software workshops with customers.

This is a full-time position offering an annual base salary ranges of $85,000 - $140,000 based on experience. Additionally, the role may include a comprehensive benefits package, encompassing healthcare insurance and paid leave, in accordance with applicable laws.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in related field (marketing, sales, engineering)
Experience within any of the following industries- Automated material handling, oil and gas, construction, automotive
Strong in Microsoft Project
Highly motivated, organized, and a natural problem solver
Strong understanding of software methodologies (i.e. agile)
Strong communication skills (this is a heavily customer facing role)
Willing to Travel 30-50% depending on the phase of the project
Highly relational- able to build relationships with customers and existing team
Highly resilient/flexible

Direct Automated Material Handling Experience
PMP
Experience with Jira
