Job Description

A large Material Handling Company is looking for an Electrical Engineering Manager. This person will be responsible for overseeing a team of approximately 10 electrical Engineers (along with a supervisor). They will need to train and mentor engineers and create a strong team culture. They will also be responsible for managing team performance and recruiting additional engineers as the team grows. He or she will need to have a strong background in electrical or controls engineering with tasks such as creating and maintaining controls engineering documentation and system layouts. This can include sensor/actuator layouts and associated engineering and electrical installation reports, controls component order lists, electrical drawings and associated reports – on new projects and/or retrofit/upgrade projects. The team will start with a system design (aka e-plan), then create a hardware plan. On occasion, this person will also support the controls engineering team on site to verify the proper installation of electrical systems.

Salary Ranges from 130,000 to 160,000 based on experience. Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in controls related field (i.e. Electrical or computer engineering)
Experience in an industrial or automation related environment
3+ years of Management or leadership Experience
Comfortable creating engineering blue prints (e-plan will be used in this role, but other design software experience still applies)
Comfortable understanding and accommodating customer specifications

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Material handling or automotive industry experience
Autocad or other design software
Prior leadership experience
