Job Description
Bachelor’s Degree in controls or electrical engineering field (equivalent work experience is also acceptable)
Strong PLC experience (Siemens TIA is preferred)- Rockwell or Allen Bradley are also acceptable
Good Troubleshooting skills
Comfortable handling PLC software
Familiar with Networking and understand how PLCs are written and can trouble shoot electrical side of machine
Understand how to mechanically and electrically troubleshoot code
Automation or Machining background

Required Skills & Experience
A large Material Handling Company is looking for a Controls Commissioning Engineer. This person will be responsible for ensuring proper design, development, and commissioning of control systems. Daily responsibilities will include writing and debugging PLC code, integrating control systems with sensors, actuators, and communication networks (such as Ethernet/IP and Profinet), conducting in-house emulation testing to verify performance and troubleshoot issues before onsite commissioning, and providing ongoing support for installed systems through preventative maintenance and system upgrades. This role will require about 80% travel to support various customer sites.
