Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a WAWF Automation Interface Developer. This position is fully remote. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining an automated interface that streamlines the submission of receiving reports to WAWF (Wide Area Workflow). Your primary focus will be on integrating with existing systems, ensuring data accuracy, and optimizing the process for efficiency. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, engineering, quality, and IT.

Responsibilities:

1. System Integration:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and system workflows.

- Integrate the WAWF automation solution with existing business systems (e.g., MES, ERP) to seamlessly exchange data.

- Implement APIs, web services, or other communication channels for data transfer.

2. WAWF Expertise:

- Gain a deep understanding of the WAWF platform, including its data structures, transaction sets, and security protocols.

- Configure and customize WAWF settings to align with organizational needs.

- Handle WAWF-specific tasks such as creating and managing Receiving Reports (RRs), invoicing, and acceptance data.

3. RFID Integration:

- Familiarize yourself with RFID technology and standards.

o Develop mechanisms to capture, process, and transmit RFID data within the WAWF workflow.

o Ensure compliance with RFID labeling requirements.

4. SQL Server Database Management:

- Design and maintain the SQL Server database where relevant data will be stored.

- Create efficient database schemas, tables, and stored procedures.

- Optimize queries for performance and scalability.

5. Coding and Development:

- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python.

- Develop custom applications or modules to automate WAWF interactions.

- Implement error handling, logging, and data validation.

6. Security and Authentication:

- Implement secure authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, API keys) for data exchange.

- Address security vulnerabilities and protect sensitive information during transmission.

7. Testing and Quality Assurance:

- Conduct thorough testing of the interface to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.

- Collaborate with QA teams to identify and resolve issues.

8. Documentation and Training:

- Create detailed technical documentation for the interface, including architecture, data flow, and deployment instructions.

- Train end-users and support teams on using the automated solution.

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Proven experience (at least 3-5 years) in software development, system integration, or EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).

- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, database design, and SQL query optimization.

- Familiarity with WAWF, government contracting processes, and payment systems.

- Experience with RFID technology and standards is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
