Job Description
Job Summary:
A leading automotive supplier is seeking a Program Logistics Engineer to manage and optimize logistics for pre-series production. This role involves coordinating data processing, ensuring adequate stock for assembly, planning deliveries of pre-series parts to the end customer, and maintaining compliance with pre-established budgets.
Responsibilities:
• Define the Logistics flow diagram
• Study the logistics costs associated with the processes
• Validate the logistics cost hypothesis
• Create logistics documents
• Responsible for using customer software for receiving material and creating documents to deliveries materials
• Be the main contact for the supplier and customer regarding project pre series logistics.
• Participate in project review meetings
• Consolidate the internal and OEM needs (Analysis PDP requirements)
• Define the transportation strategy according to the program needs
• Define the Storage requirements
• Perform parts inventory
• Analyze program requisitions through internal systems
• Transportation requirements and approvals management
• Analyze customer specific requirements regarding logistics or international trade processes.
• Customs Clearance
• Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site
• Support the leadership and commitment from top management according to the NAO environmental policy and ISO 14001
Compensation: $30-$40/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Required Skills & Experience
• Engineering Bachelor degree/Diploma or Technician, or significant professional experience
• 2+ years in an automotive logistic environment
• Able to understand priorities for parts delivery and parts receiving.
• Ability to understand procedures for importing and exporting.
• Capable of understanding logistical documents.
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate incoming and outgoing shipments.
• In-depth knowledge of domestic and international transportation processes, including customs regulations, clearance procedures, and shipping methods.
• Experience with international trade compliance and customs clearance documentation.
