Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Estimator to make sure that that all estimates are thorough, timely, and aligned with our clients standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, field leaders, and clients to deliver accurate and winning proposals. They will review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope and requirements. As well as prepare accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. And build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and reliable partnerships.

Required Skills & Experience
-15+ years commercial & industrial estimating experience as lead/primary estimator
-Expert user of a mainstream bidding software
-Solid Understanding of current market pricing and margins for all different types of commercial and industrial work
-Ability to critique poor electrical designs and plans, and selling/recommending alternative designs and materials
-Motivated to sell and win bids to hit manpower schedule and revenue targets
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Knowledge of emerging trends and technology in the Estimating discipline, and desire to try new approaches
-Ability to train a junior estimator
-Expert user of Trimble/Accubid Bid Winner software, professionally trained and able to configure the software to our business needs
