Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a modeling and controls engineer to work onsite for a client in Ann Arbor, MI. Responsibilities include:
- Development of advanced control and optimization solutions for powertrain
- Developing control-oriented plant models with first principles and machine learning approaches and implement into diverse mobility applications.
- Improving efficiency of bigdata related processes.
- Collaborate with R&D engineers to propose new ideas, process improvements and apply development.
Project tracking, scheduling and reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Science (or other relevant fields); Masters degree is a plus.
- 1-3 years of industry experience
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on identifying patterns and trends in big data.
- Strong background in control and optimization, machine learning, and big data.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, SciPy).
Knowledge of current machine learning techniques, including tree-based methods and neural networks.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Automotive industry experience
