Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a motivated FP&A & Asset Management Associate to support asset-level and portfolio-level financial performance for our client, a growing real estate investment platform. This role sits at the intersection of financial planning & analysis, asset management, and capital decision-making. This is not a back-office accounting role, the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting are handled by an external partner. This position is focused on forward-looking analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and decision support, with direct exposure to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Asset-Level FP&A & Cash Flow Analysis
• Own asset-level budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting, including variance analysis versus
actuals
• Build and maintain forward-looking cash flow models at the asset and portfolio level
• Analyze sources and uses of cash, including operating cash flow, capital expenditures, reserves,
and distributions
• Monitor key operating and financial metrics; identify risks, trends, and value-creation
opportunities
Asset Management & Reporting
• Prepare asset-level and portfolio-level reporting for internal leadership and capital partners
• Review monthly property management reporting, budgets, and forecasts for accuracy and
insight
• Partner closely with Asset Managers to drill into performance drivers and problem areas
• Serve as a financial liaison between Asset Management and external accounting/property
management teams
Debt, Capital, & Transactions
• Analyze loan structures, debt service, covenants, reserves, and compliance requirements
• Review and evaluate debt and equity term sheets, including pricing and return implications
• Support acquisitions, refinancings, and dispositions through underwriting support and financial
analysis
• Assist with capital planning and financing strategy at both the asset and portfolio level
Development, Repositioning & Oversight
• Support financial oversight of development and value-add/repositioning projects
• Review construction draw requests, reconcile spend versus budget, and flag variances
• Track key transaction and project milestones, timelines, and deliverables
Corporate & Ad Hoc Support
• Support preparation and maintenance of the annual corporate budget
• Assist leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and strategic initiatives
• Support light invoice review, coding, and approval workflows where necessary

Required Skills & Experience
• 3-4+ years of experience in real estate asset management, acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, or related field
• Solid understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals and operating metrics
• Solid accounting foundation with the ability to interpret financial statements and underlying
drivers
• Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modeling
• Comfort working with debt structures, financing terms, and capital sources
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial models and large datasets
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• MRI Software experience or other real estate accounting/asset management systems
• Exposure to development or heavy value-add projects
• Experience working in entrepreneurial or vertically integrated real estate platform
