Semiconductor Equipment Technician

Insight Global is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support semiconductor manufacturing operations for a leading semiconductor company. This individual will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of semiconductor processing equipment while helping maximize tool uptime and production efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining semiconductor fabrication equipment in one or more process areas, including Thin Film, Implant, Photolithography, or CVD/Diffusion. This person should be mechanically and electrically inclined, capable of following detailed procedures, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain and repair process tools, including Applied Materials (AMAT) Endura (PVD), AMAT Centura, ULVAC, Lam 4420, and similar semiconductor processing systems.
Diagnose equipment issues and perform mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and process-related repairs.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment performance and maximize uptime.
- Complete maintenance documentation and reporting using Microsoft Office applications.
- Support additional fab areas and equipment types as business needs require.
- Follow all safety, operational, and quality procedures in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.

Pay Ranges from 35-48/hr based on qualifications and years of experience.

18.5% pay differential for the night shift on top of hourly base pay.

- 2+ years of experience maintaining semiconductor processing equipment.
Experience supporting equipment within one or more of the following areas:

Thin Film / PVD
Implant
Photolithography
CVD / Diffusion
Etch


- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and follow technical procedures and work instructions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

- Experience with Applied Materials, Lam Research, ULVAC, or similar semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Experience working in a high-volume semiconductor fab environment.
- Knowledge of vacuum systems, gas delivery systems, RF systems, robotics, or wafer handling equipment.
