Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a manufacturing engineer for one of their clients in the Wilmington MA area. This will be a 2nd shift 2-11:30pm position on a 9/80 work schedule. The day to day will be to support production, testing, process improvement, and new product introduction activities within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role will partner closely with Operations, Quality, Test Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce defects, support root cause investigations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate has a strong hands-on technical background with experience supporting manufacturing operations, product testing, troubleshooting, process development, and quality improvement efforts in industries such as medical devices, aerospace, defense, electronics, or other highly regulated environments.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline.
3+ years of experience supporting manufacturing, test, quality, production engineering, or process improvement activities.
Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems, devices, or manufacturing equipment.
Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and engineering documentation.
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
Experience developing or revising work instructions, test procedures, or manufacturing documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Medical device, aerospace, defense, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing experience.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience supporting qualification activities such as IQ/OQ/PQ.
Familiarity with nonconformance reporting, MRBs, and CAPA processes.
Experience supporting environmental, reliability, functional, or acceptance testing.
Knowledge of SAP, ERP, or manufacturing execution systems.
Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, and other diagnostic test equipment.
Exposure to product development, R&D support, or new product introduction activities.
Knowledge of GDP/GMP requirements.
