Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Contracts Specialist for a large health network company. This position is responsible for the timely and good management of contract drafting and the administration of contract clauses, and contracting principles, to ensure sound management and fiscal practices to manage risk and to control the quality of goods and services purchased. This position advises and guides Strategic Sourcing Category Managers and Sourcing Specialists regarding the development of contracts in alignment with network-approved legal philosophies and risk profiles to meet the needs of identified internal customer requirements using a global category view. You would be responsible for contract clause selection, contract drafting, and managing contract drafts during negotiations by coordinating with various levels of employees and management to leverage buying power and recommend appropriate risk management strategies and tactics to obtain desired results. Extensive interaction with Business Units, Leadership, and suppliers is required to ensure that contracts align with sourcing initiatives and legal principles. Goods and services are reviewed by this position and managed across the network for all locations.

Required Skills & Experience

- Paralegal education/experience, or contract management/administration experience.
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Supply Chain or Business or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of:
o Experience in drafting contracts, reviewing terms and conditions, and/or in-depth knowledge of legal terms.
o Experience in the facilitation and negotiating of contracts.
o Building/leading/influencing effective cross-functional teams.
o Managing diverse stakeholder interests and expectations.
o Building strategic supplier relationships.
o Team interaction and project management experience.
o Effectively communicating (verbal and written) with a wide range of customers and team members.
o Knowledge of healthcare industry market trends and dynamics.
o Personal Computing, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
o ERP (Procure to Pay preferred), e-Procurement, and sourcing systems/tools.
o Problem-solving, financial, and analytical process skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- A Master’s degree (MBA) preferred
- CMRP preferred
