Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Data Applications Engineer to support the development of a new internal remediation platform for a large financial services client. This individual will help design and build a custom application that enables users to manage remediation efforts, triage issues, and streamline workflows that are currently managed through Excel and manual processes.
This is a highly visible initiative with aggressive delivery timelines and executive-level visibility. The ideal candidate will have experience building internal business applications from the ground up, integrating front-end interfaces with APIs and backend databases, and working directly with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
This is a highly hands-on development role focused on application delivery rather than traditional data engineering or ETL pipeline development.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop a new internal remediation application used across multiple business entities
- Build front-end user interfaces, dashboards, and workflow-driven experiences for business users
- Develop and integrate APIs to connect application functionality with backend systems and databases
- Design application workflows and user experiences that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Retrieve, manage, and display reference data from enterprise data sources
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Assist in defining application architecture, interfaces, and data interactions while adhering to enterprise standards
- Support reporting and dashboard functionality to provide visibility into remediation activities
- Participate in technical reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced development environment
- Deliver high-quality solutions within aggressive project deadlines and weekly executive review cycles
Pay ranges from 60-70/hr based on qualifications and years of experience.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of software development or application engineering experience
- Strong experience developing applications in Python
- Experience building and deploying applications using Streamlit
- Strong understanding of API development and integration (RESTful services)
- Experience working with relational databases and writing complex SQL queries
- Hands-on experience designing front-end interfaces, workflows, and dashboard applications
- Experience with snowflake
- Data quality, data governance, or remediation program experience
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working on highly visible projects with frequent stakeholder engagement
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Experience with React or Angular
- Experience developing internal business applications, workflow tools, or case management systems
