Job Summary
Insight Global is seeking a Project Governance Manager for one of their top financial services customers to oversee governance processes for project management initiatives within the financial services domain. This role is responsible for managing stage-gate reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards, and supporting the BAU execution of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will act as the primary gatekeeper for project governance, driving consistency, transparency, and risk mitigation across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
Governance & Gate Management
Establish and maintain governance frameworks for projects across the SDLC lifecycle.
Manage stage-gate reviews and ensure deliverables meet quality and compliance standards.
Monitor adherence to Santander’s internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Planning & Coordination
Define governance structures, roles, and responsibilities for project teams.
Coordinate with PMO, business analysts, and technical teams to align deliverables with strategic objectives.
Maintain documentation for governance processes and decision-making protocols.
Risk & Compliance Oversight
Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure audit readiness and maintain compliance evidence for all SDLC phases.
Support regulatory reporting and internal audits as required.
SDLC Execution Support
Oversee BAU execution of SDLC phases (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment).
Validate quality gates and ensure readiness for progression to subsequent phases.
Track progress against project plans and escalate issues when necessary.
Communication & Reporting
Prepare governance dashboards and reports for senior leadership.
Facilitate decision-making forums and ensure timely resolution of escalations.
Act as the single point of accountability for governance-related queries.
Pay ranges from 50-60/hr based on qualifications and years of experience.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
5+ years in project governance, PMO, or related roles within financial services.
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and governance frameworks.
Regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, Basel) and risk management principles.
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Fluid/Insights) and governance workflow systems.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.
ITIL or Agile certifications are a plus.
