Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Power BI & Reporting Analyst for one of our top financial services clients. This individual will play a critical role in driving advanced reporting, dashboard development, and data analytics initiatives across the organization. The position is highly technical in nature, with a strong emphasis on building scalable Power BI solutions and translating complex data into executive-level insights and presentations.
This is a hands-on role requiring a self-driven, proactive resource who can independently own deliverables, manage priorities, and partner cross-functionally to ensure reporting accuracy, clarity, and business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports to support business and executive decision-making.
Perform complex data analysis, including building calculations, formulas, and data models to generate actionable insights.
Integrate data across multiple platforms and sources, ensuring seamless connectivity into reporting tools.
Create executive-level presentations (PowerPoint) by translating technical findings into clear, visually compelling narratives.
Partner with technical and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and effectively communicate data concepts.
Support integration between Power BI, PowerApps, and presentation tools, including linking reports, dashboards, and meeting materials.
Drive automation and reduce manual reporting efforts through scalable dashboard solutions.
Operate independently with strong ownership over deliverables, timelines, and reporting quality.

Pay Rate
$45–60/hr based on experience and qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

- Advanced experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, and DAX calculations.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, data manipulation, reporting).
- Experience building data-driven presentations for executive audiences using PowerPoint.
- Ability to connect and integrate data from multiple technical sources into reporting solutions.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data insights.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience in project portfolio reporting or PMO environments.
- Financial service industry experience
