Job Description

A global manufacturing company is seeking a strong Senior Software Engineer to support initiatives within their Semiconductor Technologies organization. In this role, this individual work in a small but growing team of varying levels of experience to design, develop, and support a custom Web-focused application. The system is used globally in multiple factories and across workstreams, providing a variety of critical business functions centered around product quality, manufacturing execution, and supply chain. As a software engineer, you will be responsible for core backend infrastructure and devops automation, front-end user interfaces for data tracking and validation, and visualizations to support data-driven decision making. This is an immediate, 6 month contract to hire opportunity. The position is fully remote and will interface with teams in Asia so this individua should expect early morning or late night calls about 5 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct work activities and demonstrate behavior consistent with DuPont Core Values.
Build and maintain the code base of a complex custom quality / manufacturing execution system.
Design and develop new feature requirements using Test-Driven development practices.
Interface and maintain connectivity between the system and external corporate systems within DuPont such as SAP.
Foster and support junior developers.
Be internal customer-focused with a high emphasis on quality in execution

Required Skills & Experience

BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in software development (full stack)
Expertise with C# Microsoft dotnet, PowerShell, Python, NodeJS/Vue, and SQL.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills (English).
Strong team player with experience working with cross-functional teams.
Self-starter with systematic decision making, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Eager to learn and support the innovation strategy and desire to work on transformational projects.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working in semiconductor or semiconductor materials industry or background in chemical engineering or manufacturing
Knowledge of common UX principles.
Experience with process data historians, LIMS, SAP
Experience with R, machine learning, PowerBI
Knowledge of statistics (SPC), or quality management systems (QMS) (ISO 9001, IATF16949, etc)
