A client in the defense industry is looking for someone to join their team and help plan and coordinate all activities related to gathering requirements, designing, developing, and implementing client information systems and software applications. They will also be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing client systems and applications. The candidate will use their communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and best practices knowledge to collaborate with the Application Development Lead on the design, development, and deployment of client-focused, mission-critical information and software systems.

- Bachelors Degree Computer Science or related engineering degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
- 4+ years direct experience in software development and/or programming design and systems management.
- 4+ years of experience with C#, C++, C
- Experience in all phases of the software development life-cycle
- Strong understanding of various communications protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS232.
- Highly proficient in C# development
- Strong knowledge of version control (Git or Visual Team Services)
- Experience with design patterns and/or SOLID principles.
- Experience with multi-threaded programming & design
- Strong ability to grasp and apply new information quickly
- High attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task and enthusiastic attitude
