Insight Global is looking for three Licensed Practical Nurses work to keep patients comfortable through direct bedside care in a long-term geriatric care facility. LPNs will supervise a team of 2-4 CNAs on their assigned unit. Duties include but are not limited to:
* Provide nursing care to veterans by assessing health status, responding to veterans by assessing health status, responding to veterans' requests for assistance and making observation on rounds. This can includes taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to record a patient's current physical condition along with:
* Administer medications, treatments, and care planning.
* Carry out clinicians' orders, observe and identify needs for care, including medication, equipment assisted care and patient and family education.
* Identify, evaluate, and assess veteran health care needs and status.
* Confer with the supervision of a registered nurse and assigned clinician for planned treatment and modalities.
* Recognize urgent or emergency needs of patients in care situations and seek assistance of the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or clinician and initiate appropriate emergency intervention as directed or needed.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure that resident's individual care plans are being followed which may also include establishing constructive relationships with veterans and their families to promote positive relationships and learning.
* Document incidents with or without adverse effect to the veteran and refer to the RN for follow-up and/or investigation through electronic and paper charting systems.
