Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Project Coordinator for a Fortune 500 client of Insight Global. The Project Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting project execution by assisting with cost control activities and collaborating closely with a team of schedulers. This position ensures that project budgets, forecasts, and schedules are aligned, accurate, and effectively monitored throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
• Cost Control & Financial Tracking
o Assist in monitoring project budgets, expenditures, and cost forecasts.
o Prepare and maintain cost reports, variance analyses, and financial summaries for stakeholders.
o Support the implementation of cost-saving measures and identify potential cost risks early.
• Scheduling Support
o Collaborate with schedulers to ensure cost data aligns with project timelines and resource plans.
o Review schedule updates for potential cost impacts and communicate findings to project managers.
o Help maintain integrated cost and schedule baselines for accurate project performance tracking.
• Reporting & Documentation
o Generate detailed cost and schedule reports for internal teams and clients.
o Maintain accurate records of cost-related changes and approvals.
o Support compliance with organizational standards and client requirements for documentation.
• Cross-Functional Coordination
o Work closely with project managers, schedulers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
o Participate in project meetings to provide cost-related insights and updates.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years in project coordination, cost control, or project controls.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost management systems.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience in large-scale projects or EPC environments.
• Knowledge of cost control principles and earned value management.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven settings.
