Insight Global is seeking a highly motivated Biochemist/Molecular Biologist to support a fast-paced DNA production and protein expression research lab in Cambridge, MA. Qualified candidate will play an essential role in a high-energy DNA production and protein expression research laboratory. The group supports non-GMP transient protein lead production across the organizations diverse biotherapeutic discovery portfolio to enable research units and their pre-clinical therapeutic in-vitro and in-vivo needs.
The candidate is expected to have a strong background in molecular biology techniques and experience with nucleic acid production and analysis. The successful candidate will grow bacterial cultures and perform large-scale DNA production activities following standardized protocols. The candidate will be a key contributor to the scientific team responsible for protein expression and purification.

Required Skills & Experience
- B.S. in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences discipline
- 2+ years experience with molecular biology techniques including plasmid preparation, nucleic acid purification, and quantitative DNA analysis
- 2+ years experience with bacterial cell culture systems
- Proficiency in DNA QC methods including gel electrophoresis and sample preparation for sequencing
- Experience operating automated or semi-automated lab instrumentation
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with NGS library preparation or sequencing workflows
- Familiarity with Python scripting for data analysis or workflow automation
- Experience with plate-based (96/384-well) high-throughput workflows
- Familiarity with LIMS or sample management platforms (e.g., FreezerPro, Genedata)
