Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Strategy & Planning Project Leader to join a prestigious law firm. This firm generates $3 billion in revenue and caters to clients in key hubs of business, finance, technology, and government. The project leader will be joining the strategy team that supports the firm’s leadership in making strategic business decisions through rigorous research, analysis, and assessment. The strategy team advises the firm on important strategic decisions that impact the firm’s future across all practice areas including private equity, asset management, investment banks, life sciences, and healthcare. The project leader will own and manage a wide variety of projects, delivering assignments to the highest standard, and serve as a mentor to fellow team members.

Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
• Research & Analysis
o Balance working independently and guiding others to gather, analyze, structure, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative business, external market, and competitor data and information, as well as examine aspects of the firm’s client base, capabilities, and economics – to find patterns, draw implications, and develop effective and compelling deliverables.
• Project Management
o Start work from a general problem statement and clearly scope out the strategic issues and options to be researched and analyzed. Develop hypotheses and figure out how to explore them, applying effective time management skills to balance multiple efforts and consistently meet deadlines – all while ensuring the highest level of accuracy, organization, documentation, communication, and follow-through for your own work and the work of others.
• Strategic Development & Decision Support
o Present on findings through compelling and logical deliverables such as qualitative and quantitative exhibits, as well as written reports. work closely and iteratively with teammates to create polished, client-ready deliverables; propose actionable options for decision makers; and potentially frame strategy implementation plans.
• Cultivate Partnerships
o Building, developing, and growing business relationships vital to the success of each project, as opportunities arise, as well as adopting and fostering a collaborative approach to working with team members and across support team functions.

This is a full-time position and will be based in Boston or NYC – in the office 3 days a week, 2 days working remotely.

Compensation
Base Salary
• Boston - $140k-$230k
• NYC - $150k-$240k

This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance.
(Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, geographic location, education, and consideration of internal equity.)

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years of strategy experience within a professional services environment
• Excellent analytical skills with proven experience, aptitude, and interest in both quantitative and qualitative business analytics
• Familiarity with one of the following industries – private equity, asset management, investment banks, life sciences, healthcare
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Bachelor’s degree
