Job Description
One of Insight Global’s leading insurance clients is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Digital Technology team in Boston, MA. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing scalable cloud-native applications that support critical business initiatives. The role combines hands-on full-stack development with technical leadership, including architectural input, mentorship, and ownership of complex application features from design through production deployment. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys building modern software solutions while influencing engineering best practices and driving technical excellence across the organization.
Compensation: $120,000-$150,000/year
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise applications
Strong experience with C#/.NET and object-oriented programming principles
Front-end development experience with Angular or similar frameworks
Experience building and supporting REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
Experience developing cloud-native applications within Azure environments
Experience working with SQL Server and database design concepts
Knowledge of NoSQL databases, caching technologies, and modern application architecture
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment automation
Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies
Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing architectural decisions
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tool experience
Cosmos DB and Redis experience
Experience with Duck Creek Policy Administration System
Insurance industry experience
Experience with application monitoring, observability, and performance optimization
Experience mentoring junior engineers or serving as a technical lead
