large Boston based CDFI (Community Development Financial Institution) is rebooting its lending systems after a pause in operations and is seeking a senior integration consultant to lead the implementation and interconnection of APIs between their new LMS (TurnKey Lending), Salesforce, Plaid, Stripe, and Microsoft tools.
This person will:
Own the API mapping and buildout process from start to finish (from user auth to payment handling).
Validate and integrate login flows via Azure AD/Entra ID, ensuring front-end security.
Work with TKL and external vendors to configure existing APIs, minimizing unnecessary customization.
Help define and ingest critical data fields from Plaid and Stripe into Salesforce for CRM and servicing.
Support data architecture decisions with Yulia (Data Scientist) to prepare Plaid/Stripe data for analytics/reporting.
Assist in troubleshooting post-pilot issues during the stabilization period into January.
Be the go-to SME on all integration issues, triaging API problems, escalating smartly, and documenting all build decisions.
Work within a lean but mission-driven tech team a mix of nonprofit, vendor, and functional leaders.

Senior-level experience owning or delivering complex third-party API integrations across platforms.
Proven ability to build and configure APIs, not just use them including bi-directional and data ingest/flow management.
Strong understanding of Microsoft ecosystem: Azure AD, Entra ID, Azure API Management, SharePoint/Box integrations.
Skilled in data handling and privacy experience with PII, background checks, and secure data flow design.
Experience working cross-functionally with vendors and internal stakeholders (e.g., Salesforce team, TKL, ACH/payments team).
Ability to evaluate existing APIs and reduce custom builds mindful of system simplicity and long-term maintainability.
Hands-on expertise with Salesforce API, Plaid, Stripe, and Loan Management Systems (TurnKey Lending or similar)
Prior experience in a nonprofit financial services organization or a CDFI.
Familiarity with TurnKey Lending (TKL) as a loan origination/servicing system.
Experience supporting loan products, ACH pulls, and Stripe-based payment workflows.
Prior work in mission-driven orgs, especially around community finance, housing, or immigration lending (OPA).
Knowledge of Plaid data schema and ability to extract/report insights for data teams.
