The role is a long-term contract and is hybrid remote near an office location given if it goes perm there will be occasional in office days; so much be commutable distance to Boston MA, NYC, Washington DC, Reston VA, Miami FL, Chicago IL, Denver CO, Seattle WA, San Francisco CA, Palo Alto CA, San Deigo CA, Los Angeles CA and Santa Monica CA. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of a growing portfolio of Finance Technology products. This role will partner closely with Finance leadership, business stakeholders, technology teams, and executive sponsors to define product vision, establish and manage roadmaps, prioritize investments, and ensure products deliver measurable business value.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with proven product management experience and exceptional requirements discovery skills. They are equally comfortable facilitating executive conversations around strategic priorities as they are working alongside engineers and business analysts to refine user stories and guide Agile delivery.
This role is not responsible for building software—it is responsible for ensuring the right software gets built. This resource will be responsible for gathering requirements much like a BA and owning all the details and validation for these various software tools.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
-Own the product roadmap for a portfolio of Finance Technology products.
-Partner with executive sponsors and business leaders to define product vision, objectives, and measurable outcomes.
-Continuously evaluate competing priorities and recommend strategic tradeoffs based on business value, risk, cost, and organizational objectives.
-Identify opportunities to consolidate, simplify, or expand product capabilities across the Finance Technology ecosystem.
Stakeholder Leadership
-Build trusted partnerships with Finance, Technology, Operations, and other business leaders.
-Facilitate discussions that align diverse stakeholder interests into clear product direction.
-Effectively communicate priorities, roadmap decisions, and product status to technical and non-technical audiences.
-Drive consensus while balancing competing business needs.
Product Discovery & Requirements
-Lead product discovery activities to understand business processes, user needs, pain points, and desired outcomes.
-Translate complex business problems into clear product requirements.
-Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirements sessions with stakeholders.
-Distinguish between critical business requirements and lower-value enhancements.
-Develop epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
Agile Product Leadership
-Serve as Product Owner or closely partner with Product Owners where appropriate.
-Maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
-Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
-Work closely with engineering teams to ensure business intent is maintained throughout delivery.
-Make informed prioritization decisions that maximize customer and business value.
Product Delivery & Continuous Improvement
-Monitor product performance and adoption using qualitative and quantitative feedback.
-Measure outcomes against defined business objectives and KPIs.
-Drive continuous product improvement through customer feedback and data-driven decision making.
-Support change management and product adoption efforts.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 12 months, this individual will have:
-Established a prioritized Finance Technology product roadmap aligned with business objectives.
-Built trusted relationships with Finance leadership, executive sponsors, and technology teams.
-Implemented a consistent product management and prioritization process across the portfolio.
-Improved requirements quality, reducing ambiguity and rework during delivery.
-Helped teams focus investment on the highest-value capabilities while effectively managing scope and stakeholder expectations.
-Increased transparency into product priorities, delivery progress, and business outcomes.
Compensation:
$60/hr to $68/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of Business Analysis/Product Management experience delivering business applications or enterprise software.
- Demonstrated experience owning product roadmaps and managing product lifecycles from discovery through delivery.
- Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills across business and technical organizations.
- Experience prioritizing competing initiatives using business value, risk, and strategic alignment.
- Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience partnering closely with software engineering teams throughout the SDLC.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience building or managing Finance Technology (FinTech) products or enterprise financial systems.
-Background in Business Analysis with progression into Product Management.
-Experience with ERP, accounting, billing, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, or related financial platforms.
-Familiarity with modern product management practices, including outcome-based roadmaps and product metrics.
-Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile tooling.
-Experience working within professional services, consulting, financial services, or other complex enterprise environments.
-Experience leveraging AI-assisted product management tools and incorporating AI capabilities into digital products.
